SEO on Google, in AI answers and on the app stores

A good product nobody can find is no use to anyone. We work on your visibility on Google and in the answers of AI assistants such as ChatGPT, and on your app’s visibility in the stores.

What we do

Devolim handles search visibility for businesses that want their customers to find them, on three fronts: Google (SEO), the answers of AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity (GEO), and the App Store and Google Play (ASO). We start with an audit, then fix the technical issues, write or improve your pages and work on your local presence. Each month, a short report shows what was done and what has moved. We also work on websites we did not build, and we practise ASO on our own apps.

  • Found by the right people

We start from what your customers actually type, then make sure your website or app answers better than the others.

  • Technical audit

Speed, indexing, errors, structure: what is holding you back, and in what order to fix it.

  • Content

Pages that answer your customers’ real questions, in their own words.

  • Local SEO

Business listing, reviews, local pages: being visible where you work.

  • ASO, SEO for apps

Title, keywords, screenshots and description to rank higher in App Store and Google Play searches.

  • Tracking

Rankings, visits and enquiries tracked over time, so you know what works.

From page 2 to the top spot

This is the climb we take your website on, one result at a time. The sites shown are fictitious.

  • A faster website
  • Pages that answer the questions
  • A structure Google understands
  • Trusted reviews and links

Three ways to be found

Your customers look for you on Google, ask an AI for advice or browse the app stores. We work on all three, separately or together.

The three pillars of SEO

Google ranks pages on hundreds of criteria, which fall into three families. Good SEO works on all three at once.

Technical

So Google can read your website

Before ranking a page, Google has to find it, read it and understand it. A website that is slow, badly built or blocked by mistake stays invisible, even with good copy.

  • A fast website, especially on mobile
  • All important pages indexed
  • A title and a description for every page
  • Clean URLs, with no duplicate pages
  • Core Web Vitals
  • sitemap.xml
  • robots.txt
  • Title tag
  • Schema.org
  • HTTPS

Content

Answering what your customers search for

Google wants to show the page that best answers a search. We start from the words your customers type, then write pages that answer them clearly.

  • One page per service or per question
  • Your customers’ words, just as they type them
  • Headings that announce the answer
  • Links between your pages to guide the reader
  • Keywords
  • Search intent
  • H1 and H2 tags
  • Internal linking

Authority

Showing that people trust you

When other websites talk about you and link to yours, Google sees it as a recommendation. Your customers’ reviews play the same role, especially locally.

  • Links from reputable websites in your field
  • Well-chosen directories and partners
  • Regular customer reviews, with your replies
  • Mentions of your name in the press or on social media
  • Backlinks
  • Link building
  • Anchor text
  • Google reviews

Why all three together? A very fast website without useful content does not climb. Good copy on a site Google struggles to read stays hidden. And without any outside recommendation, it is hard to overtake competitors who have been established for years.

Get found close to home

When people look for a tradesperson, a restaurant or a practice, Google often shows a map with a few nearby businesses before any websites. This block has its own rules, and we work on it separately.

What we work on for you

  • A complete Google listingCategories, opening hours, service area, photos, services, posts: a carefully completed listing inspires trust and shows up more often on Google Maps.Google Business Profile
  • Reviews, and repliesWe set up a simple way to ask for a review after each job, and we help you reply to every one, even the less positive ones.Google reviews
  • The same details everywhereName, address and phone number written the same way on your website, your listing, directories and social networks. Google relies on them to locate you.NAP consistency
  • A page per town or per serviceIf you work in several towns or offer several trades, each page answers a specific search, with real content.Local pages, LocalBusiness

The mock-up above is an example: the business and the review are fictitious.

Recommended by AI assistants

More and more of your customers no longer search only on Google: they put their question straight to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Copilot. We work on what these AI assistants read about your business, so they understand it properly and have good reasons to cite it, and we track what they say about it.

The new word of mouth

When an AI mentions a business, it presents it as a recommendation. Being in its answer means being chosen before any comparison starts. It is separate work, which we carry out alongside SEO for Google.

  • GEO
  • AI search
  • Answer engines
  • Being understoodContent that AI reads easily and can summarise accurately.
  • Being citedYour business present where AI assistants look for their answers.
  • Being recommendedThe trust signals that lead an AI to suggest you rather than someone else.
  • Tracking progressWhat AI assistants say about you, question by question, month after month.

ASO: we do it for ourselves first

Our 10 apps live or die by their place in the stores. Title, subtitle, keywords, screenshots, replies to reviews: we test on our own apps, then apply what works to yours.

Four ways people search for you

Close to home

“electrician near me”: the person needs someone, quickly and nearby. Google’s map is the first thing that answers.

A question

“how to choose a heat pump”: the person is doing research. A page that answers well brings them back on the day they buy.

A comparison

“best till system for a restaurant”: the person is weighing up several offers. You need to be on the list.

Your name

The person already knows you and types your name. Your website, your listing and your reviews should come up first, and inspire confidence.

What you get

What we hand over at the end of the project, explained and ready to use.

  • A clear auditWhat is holding your website or app back, ranked by priority and explained without jargon.
  • A keyword planThe searches to target, and the page that should answer each one.
  • The fixes, doneSpeed, indexing, tags, redirects: fixed directly on your website.
  • Pages written or improvedContent that answers your customers’ questions, in their own words.
  • Your local presenceA complete Google Business Profile, reviews followed up, the same information everywhere.
  • Monthly trackingRankings, visits and enquiries, in a short report you can understand.

What we do every month

SEO is long-term work. Once the foundations are in place, we follow the same cycle every month, and you always know where your website stands.

How long does it take?

Technical fixes can make a difference within a few weeks. Content and authority usually take several months, all the more so when your competitors are numerous and well established.

No guaranteed ranking

Nobody decides Google’s rankings for Google. We commit to regular work, measured and explained, and we tell you frankly what is working and what is not.

SEO terms, explained

You will come across them in our reports. Here is what each one means, in a sentence.

    Keyword

What a person types into Google. A keyword is often made up of several words.

Google records a page in its database. A page that is not indexed cannot appear in any result.

One per page, unique and clear

Google’s results page: links, map, frequently asked questions, images, sometimes ads.

Frequently asked questions

Another question? Write to us or call +33 6 52 45 78 89.

How long before we see results?

Technical fixes can make a difference within a few weeks. Content and authority usually take several months, depending on the competition for the searches you target. We show you how things are moving every month, with the figures to back it up.

How do we appear in ChatGPT’s answers?

It is separate work, on top of SEO for Google. We make sure AI assistants clearly understand your business and find good reasons to cite you, and we track what they say about you month after month.

Do you guarantee the top spot?

No, and be wary of anyone who promises it: nobody decides Google’s rankings for Google. What we guarantee is serious work, measured and explained.

How is this different from Google Ads?

Advertising puts you at the top straight away, for as long as you pay for every click. Organic search takes longer, but the visits it brings are not paid per click and keep coming as long as your pages remain the best answers. The two can work together.

Do we need to write blog posts?

Not necessarily. What matters is having pages that answer your customers’ questions. Sometimes that is an article; often it is a better-built service page or a page per town.

Do you work on websites you did not build?

Yes, whatever the platform: WordPress, Shopify, Wix or a custom-built site. Some platforms limit what can be changed; we tell you at the audit stage.

What do you need from us?

Access to your website and to Search Console (we can help you set it up if needed), and a little of your time to tell us about your business. Nobody knows your customers’ questions better than you.

What is ASO?

It is SEO for the app stores: making your app appear when someone looks for a solution on the App Store or Google Play. We practise it on our own apps.
